Introducing the Revel Young Producers

Hailing from Upstate NY and now based in Manchester iamkyami is a music producer, artist, DJ and content creator putting authenticity, identity and heritage at the forefront of their practice. Kyami grew up in a multicultural household where Black American and Japanese heritage collided into a new type of cultural experience that has shaped their artistic point of view. Exploring different genres of music from UK club to pop, indie, r&b and hip hop, it’s not hard to see why there has been a wide variety of artists they have supported: Tank and the Bangas, Roy Ayers, Yazmin Lacey, Zuzu, Pizzagirl and a recent ongoing collaboration with Berlin collective and label, Infinite Quest (Neana, AUCO, DJ Paypal, TD_Nasty, $0mbie), which takes Ky to a new dimension of MC/DJ.

Born in Yorkshire and raised in Lancashire, Joseph studied music at both college and university. A singer, pianist, songwriter and music leader, he believes in using music and the arts as a tool for improving mental health and promoting general wellbeing.

As someone creative and innovative, Qianzi Fu pursued her first degree in Radio and Television at Nanjing Forestry University, China. She’s currently studying for a Master’s degree in Arts Management, Policy, and Practice at the University of Manchester. Qianzi’s passion for creative production and the arts has been a constant throughout her academic and professional journey. At Manchester she engaged in creative production courses and participated as a Creative Producer in the VIVA! FAIR art event. Before moving to the UK, Qianzi worked at a marketing and branding management company.

Brit Seaton is a creative producer and writer, interested in how sound can create space for dreaming, togetherness and healing.

Evie Moran is a Liverpool born singer-songwriter, session musician and education practitioner currently based in Manchester. She started performing her own music when she was 14 and has since gone on to release three singles and perform at various festivals and events across the country. Alongside being a working musician Evie also runs an online platform called 'The Indie Index' where she shares resources and information for aspiring music industry professionals, as well as working as a restaurant supervisor.

Mara Cruz is an Angolan multi-instrumentalist born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. Her musical journey began at the young age of 8 where she played guitar in church. From there Mara’s passion and love for music continued to blossom. Over time she became very nosey about the instruments surrounding her and now at the age of 23 she can play most instruments to an intermediate level. Mara is all for music that brings joy, peace and happiness. Ubuntu is a way of LIFE!

Georgie is a singer, performer and creative based in Manchester. Classically trained, now turned soul singer, artistic producer and drag king, they're establishing themself as a multi-disciplinary creative. They are particularly passionate about fostering joyful, safe spaces for people to explore sound worlds and challenging limitations.

As a Pakistani rapper based in Manchester, Ahad Omer has been creating his own rap music since moving to the UK in 2018. His work draws heavily on his personal life experiences and is influenced by old-school hip-hop legends like Tupac and Ice Cube. Ahad’s passion for hip-hop deepened during a year-long stay in New York, where he immersed himself in the sounds of classic hip-hop before relocating to Manchester. Since then, he has been actively performing and creating music videos.

Zimbabwean-born Rumbi Tauro is up next! A unique blend of soulful R&B flows with ease from the powerhouse musician. Rumbi’s soulful melodies have graced stages across the UK, leaving an indelible mark at iconic venues and festivals. It’s on stage where she shines, forging an intimate connection with her audiences. Off stage Rumbi can be found advocating for young people's access to the arts and culture. Rumbi facilitates singing and songwriting workshops within the North. Alongside this, she can be found hosting monthly live music events and radio shows.
